Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
A patient in her 40s presented in the clinic with elbow pain. She reported the pain to be 6/10 and probably stemming from overuse. Her treatments began on 6/19/19 and as of 8/7/19 she has had 8 treatments (6/19, 6/21, 6/24, 7/3, 7/10, 7/17, 7/29, 8/7).
Her elbow pain gradually improved within the first 3 treatments, and presented in a different location each time. By the 4th treatment, she had virtually no elbow pain. She had a secondary complaint of headaches, and after initial examination I determined that most of her symptoms were stemming from her neck. Her headaches also improved during this time. By her 5th treatment she was having 100% relief from elbow pain for 6-7 days after treatment. She was becoming more aware of the discomfort in her neck as the distal or outlying symptoms were improving. She continues to get improvement and comes in weekly for treatment.
